The following is a list of the high school lacrosse players who were underclassmen in 2019 and among the leading returning save leaders for the 2020 season.
This week’s Mid-Atlantic notebook highlights more Maryland champions, a one-eyed goalie in Virginia, New Jersey’s nine seeds dominating and firsts in Maryland and Virginia.
The past month has seen several players reach milestones and today’s Stylax Stat Leaders is no different as two players reach career marks. Among today’s highlight performances is a perfect night for a Shipley (Pa.) faceoff man, Nicky Solomon breaks Georgia’s career mark and Canyon Birch reach earns a spot in the 300 Club.
Brooks Baro from McIntosh (Ga.) leads all known and reported players in points from Wednesday, March 28. The sophomore is one of 10 players included in today’s Stylax Stat Leaders update.
Of the players I am aware of, there are several that appear likely to be the next members of the 400-point club. Additionally, there are three that might be longshots but have a chance this season.

Nicky Solomon scored 12 points for Centennial (Roswell, Ga.) in the win over Martin Luther King (Lithonia, Ga.) on April 14. Those 12 points pushed the UNC commit over the 400-point mark in his career, becoming just the 71st-known player* to reach 400 career points. A pair of New Yorkers from Bayport-Blue Point and Comsewogue helped their respective teams to Suffolk County playoff wins on Saturday to highlight the Best Known Performances. Also today, East Longmeadow sophomore, Billy Calcidise, surpasses 200 saves on the year.
Nick Cooper from Gill St. Bernards (N.J.) posted his 10th game of the year with at least 10 points on Thursday to lead all known scorers. Also today, a Garnet Valley (Pa.) goalie helps his team to a share of a conference title.
St. Brendan (Fla.) senior Carlos Clavijo’s season-long assault on the best known Florida record for the most goals scored in a season came to its end on April 1 when he scored five goals in his final varsity game. Also included in today’s roundup is Stonewall Jackson (Ga.) scoring big, Lambert (Ga.) ended the longest active win streak and more.
