Nico Kross from St. Joseph Montvale has always been a multi-sport athlete playing both football and lacrosse. On May 16th, he was named the 2019 NJ Boys Lacrosse Freshman of the Year by NJ.com. "I feel that I'm a unique and athletic LSM because I have the defensive takeaway ability but I also pride myself on being able to push the pace in games and create scoring opportunities in transition," Kross said. "In 2019, as a freshman, I started varsity on Saint Joseph Regional rotating between close pole and LSM. My team went 14-5 playing in the Jacobsen Division, won a share of our league championship and made it deep into the state playoffs. I had close to 40 groundballs, 2 assists and over 18 caused turnovers on varsity." During the summer season, Kross plays for NJ Riot Lacrosse. Over the summer season, he scored 10 goals with five assists, causing over 50 turnovers and grabbing over 70 ground balls.Career Stats
