High School Career
Mike Powell was a high school All-American while at Carthage. At the time of his graduation, he set the New York State high school record for most points in a season with 194 points in 2000. He is tied for first for the most assists in a season with 120 in 1999. He had 115 assists in 1999.
Powell went on to play at Syracuse where at the time of his graduation, he held the record for the most career points (307) and is the only player to win the Jack Turnball Award four times. He is also the only Syracuse player to win the W.H. Brine Award twice.

Anthony DeMaio is new California All-Time Scoring Leader

Coronado (Calif.) senior Anthony DeMaio is now the new best known California all-time scoring leader in California high school lacrosse history. The Boston University commit scored three goals and three assists against Scripps Ranch (San Diego, Calif.) on Tuesday to give him 328 for his career.
