High School Career

Casey Powell is considered one of the best lacrosse players in history. While at Carthage, Powell was a two-time high school All-American.

Powell earned the nickname, Captain America, and helped Syracuse to the 1995 National Championship. Powell was captain of the US Men's National Team in the 2006 World Lacrosse Championship.

When he graduated, Powell was the all-time leader in points. He passed Jim Zaffuto for the No. 1 spot.

Powell enjoyed a lengthy Major League Lacrosse career, playing for several teams. At the end of the 2015 MLL season, Powell ranks first in all-time points scored with 504. His 257 goals are good for fourth place all-time and his 243 assists place him second on the all-time list.

In 2014, at 38-years old, Powell earned Major League Lacrosse's MVP honors. While playing with the Florida Launch, Powell led the League in points with 63 to become the league's all-time leader with a total of 468.

Powell played in all 14 games during the Launch’s inaugural season, scoring 30 goals and 33 assists for a total of 63 points, leading the Launch in points and assists. Powell scored in every game for the Launch and boasted the second-best shooting percentage in the League for an attackman at .524.
