Troy Sauberan, a 2021 midfielder from Wilbraham & Monson has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse with Canisius.
The midfielder has 80 career points through three seasons. He has 60 goals to go with 20 assists and 65 career ground balls.
“I Love Buffalo, New York. The coaching staff and team are very welcoming,” Sauberan said.
Sauberan plays club lacrosse with Upstate Salt Kings. He was also considering Siena, Clarkson and Le Moyne.
Sauberan earned First Team All-League honors in 2019.
“Never give up,” Sauberan said of his top takeaway from his recruiting process. “I grew up in Spokane, Washington and was completely irrelevant to all colleges until my junior fall.”
Sauberan is the second player reported to LaxRecords to have committed to Canisius. He joins defender Reed Conrey (Northwestern Lehigh).
