Bryce Morris, a 2021 goalie from Paul VI (Va.) has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse with Manhattan.
The goalie has 243 saves in his career.
“The reputation of high-quality goalkeepers and coaching staff as well as the proximity to Wall Street,” Morris said.
Morris plays club lacrosse with Cavalier Lacrosse. He was also considering Holy Cross, NJIT and MIT.
Morris earned a spot on the Liberty National Elite Fall All-Showcase team in 2019.
“Bryce Morris is an absolute brick wall in the goal with the fastest hands in the game,” Morris’ club coach Alex Inman said. “Bryce is patient and sees the ball so well getting him to move is a long shot as he keeps teams in the game for the long haul. He has excellent stick skills and does not panic under pressure. Bryce is as good in the classroom as on the field.”
“The goalie position is so unique as most only take one per class, and with COVID, many schools did not take one at all,” Morris said of his top takeaway from his recruiting process. “Have faith in where you land; it is exactly where you’re supposed to be. Have faith in the process.”
Morris is the second player reported to LaxRecords to have committed to Manhattan. He joins Don Bosco Prep (N.J.) LSM Damien Blando.
