Luke Grove, a 2022 midfielder from Detroit Country Day has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse with Albany.
“I really like how UAlbany plays lacrosse and I think it fits my playstyle,” Grove said. “I am also very excited to learn and play for such a great coaching staff.”
The 6-foot-2, 175-pound attack/midfielder plays club lacrosse with Juiced Cherries. He was also considering Merrimack before ultimately choosing Albany.
Grove is the fifth player reported to LaxRecords.com to have committed to Albany. He joins Ben Wimmer (Portland Jesuit), Alex Pfeiffer (Sachem North), Connor Gerlach (Don Bosco Prep), and Max Neeson (Pottsgrove) as part of Albany’s 2022 recruiting class.
The junior is the fifth-reported player from Michigan committed to a Division I program. All five play club lacrosse with Juiced Cherries, including Grove’s Detroit Country Day teammate Ryan Lyngklip who is committed to Michigan.
