
De Tolla went to Saint Thomas (N.H.) for his first three years of high school than received a scholarship and transferred to Kimball Union Academy. At Saint Thomas during his junior year, he played LSM and close defense and lead the team in groundballs with 112.
“I really liked the coaching staff, I meshed well with them,” De Tolla said. “They had a wide variety of majors for me to choose from. I liked the location of the school, it is close to home so my parents can come to my games easily”
De Tolla plays club lacrosse with Long Island Sting. He was also considering Bucknell, Williams and Bates.
De Tolla earned First Team All-State in 2019. honors last season. He also earned a spot at the 2018 Maverik Showtime event.
“It is brutal,” De Tolla said of his top takeaway from his recruiting process. ” One day a coach can be talking to you and then not respond for weeks. You just have to be patient and it will all work out.”
De Tolla is the second player reported to LaxRecords.com to have committed to UMass-Lowell.
