The Class of 2020 defenseman scooped up 27 ground balls last season and has 76 for his career.
"I chose Goucher because as soon as I stepped onto the field to watch practice, I was immediately brought in as if I was already on the team," Nolan said. "The team is strongly knit together and everyone loves each other on the team. The coach is a great person and cares for his team. Everyone on campus, both students and faculty love the players and coaches."
Nolan plays club lacrosse with Lacrosse Force. He was also considering Hood College, Hartwick College, and High Point University.
Nolan earned All-SNLA Second Team defensive honors last season. He also earned MaxPreps Player of the Game in addition to being named a Team Captain for the 2020 season. He is a two-time Crusader Award Recipient, which goes to a player for leadership, team dedication, and excellence on and off the field.
"My No. 1 takeaway in recruiting is to go where you know you are wanted. There were some schools where I knew that the coach may not care about me but I wanted to play there because I wanted to play on a well-known team," Nolan said of his top takeaway from his recruiting process. "I've come to understand that if coaches want you, they will do whatever it takes to get you. You may have to look at schools you weren't originally interested in but in the long run, it will be worth it. Look at all offers and emails from programs. Your best options for college may come from unknown places and NEVER burn bridges. When you decide where you want to go, always contact those schools that had been recruiting you and tell them of your decision. They will be grateful that you were honest with them"
