Zach Davinroy from Carlisle has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse with Manhattan. He is a Class of 2020 face-off midfielder.
The face-off midfielder won 81.9 of his faceoff opportunities last season and has 787 wins in his career.
"I chose Manhattan because of the academics and I felt right at home on my visit," Davinroy said. "Coach Kelleher really sold the school and the program and made it feel like the best choice for me."
Davinroy plays club lacrosse with Phila Stars. He was also considering Ursinus and Tampa.
Davinroy earned First Team All-Conference honors last season. He also earned All-District and All-Region Honorable Mention honors after a junior season in which he won 82 percent of his face-offs.
"Don't rush it. Take time and look over your offers and then decide which one is the best for you," Davinroy said of his top takeaway from his recruiting process.
Davinroy is the fourth player reported to LaxRecords.com to have committed to Manhattan.
