With four goals and an assist, Centennial (Ga.) senior Ryan Siracusa became the newest member of the 400 Club and entered his program into elite company.
The Maryland commit has 403 career points, making him the 97th player to reach that milestone. He’s the third player in Centennial’s history to reach that mark, making the program one of only two high schools with three players with at least 400 career points.
Carthage (N.Y.) has the most players with five players. Casey, Mike and Ryan Powell, along with Thomas Grimm and Josh Coffman are the most from any single program.
Siracusa joined Nathan Solomon and Nicky Solomon as Centennial players with at least 400 career points. The Solomon's are the Top 2 leading scorers in Georgia history.
Siracusa’s 252 career goals place him 62 on the career list in a tie with four other players.
Champion Moving On
Jeff Miles has led Christ School (N.C.) to 191 wins and 2 championships since he took over the program 18 years ago. But 2019 will be his last. Miles will be the Head of School at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (Ga.) beginning July 1.
The Greenies named assistant coach and defensive coordinator Ryan Herrmann as his replacement.
“It was important that the next Head Coach understands the program’s culture that has been established here at Christ School,” Christ School Athletic Director Eric Thorp stated via a press release. “With Ryan Herrmann, and with the staff assembled around him, I am confident that the program’s success will continue for years to come.”
“I would like to thank Headmaster Paul Krieger and Athletic Director Eric Thorp for entrusting me with the responsibility of leading the lacrosse program at Christ School,” Herrmann stated. “I am looking forward to working with these young men as we strive to uphold the success of the program that Coach Jeff Miles has built over the past 18 years.”
Milestones
Anthony Todaro from Weddington (N.C.) surpassed 200 career points with a six-point outing against Cuthbertson (N.C.). The junior has 202 career points. He burst onto the radar as a sophomore, scoring 114 points and averaging 5.4 points per game.
Garrett Meuninck from Starr’s Mill (Ga.) became the known leader for most faceoff wins in a career with a 19-for-24 game against Harrison (Ga.). The junior is winning 87 percent of his faceoffs this season, including a perfect 16-for-16 game against Northgate (Ga.) on March 5. Meuninck passes Nick Jones of Greater Atlanta Christian (Ga.) as the known leader.
