Player Highlight of the Week
Junior Tanner Price has been tearing it up through eight games for Trinity Christian (Ga.) - helping the Lions to a 5-3 record. Price has already recorded 79 points (33g,46a).
Last week he tallied 28 points (10g,18a) in two games.
In helping Trinity Christian (Ga.) defeat Riverside Military Academy (Ga.) 22-8, Price had 15 points (4f,11a). He followed that up by tallying 13 points (6g,7a) to help his team beat Eagles Landing Christian Academy (Ga.) 15-5.
The Storyline of The Week
Several inter-regional games took place in Florida last week.
Episcopal School of Dallas (Texas) and Boys' Latin (Md.) traveled to the Sunshine State and matched up against some of the best teams in Florida and the South.
Florida came out on top of Texas in the first matchups. Defending Florida state champion Jupiter (Fla.) defeated Episcopal School of Dallas 11-10 on Thursday. Ponte Vedra (Fla.) played won 10-6 over the Eagles in their meeting.
Oxbridge Academy (Fla.) took on Boys Latin (Md.) on Saturday. Boys Latin won 16-9, handing the Thunderwolves their first loss of the season.
Team of The Week
Westminster (Ga.) started off their season strong and boast an 8-1 record. The Wildcats only loss came against Allatoona (Ga.) while they have put together some excellent wins, some coming in commanding fashion.
Last week the Wildcats secured what will could prove to be one of their best wins of the season - knocking off McCallie School (Tenn.) 4-3. McCallie boasts several potential Division I commits on the roster.
Irmo (S.C.) senior goalie Avi Patel made 26 saves in a 13-8 loss against Spring Valley (S.C.). This was the second time this season that Patel recorded 26 saves in a single game.
Lambert (Ga.) continued to win, pushing their winning streak to 31.
Fredrick Douglas (Ky.) and Lexington Catholic (Ky.) are the only two teams in Kentucky that remain undefeated.
Middle Creek (N.C.) bounced back after their first loss of the year against Lambert (Ga.), getting three dominant wins this week against Apex Friendship (N.C.), Fuquay-Varina (N.C.), and R.J. Reynolds (N.C.).
