Photo Gallery: 2018 GEICO High School Lacrosse Nationals

CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY, D.C. - The first round of the GEICO High School Lacrosse Nationals featured schools from Connecticut, Indiana, Maryland Massachusetts, Ontario, Canada, Texas, and Virginia.

The first round winners were: Bullis (Md.), Culver Academy (Ind.), Hill Academy (Canada), and Salisbury School (Conn.).

The first round results were:

Salisbury School (Conn.) def. St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (Va.), 12-5
Teioshontathe McComber scored three goals and John Lombardi scored two to lead Salisbury to victory.

The Saints were led by Wiley Miller’s four points (three assists, one goal) and Demetri Nicolaidis’ hat-trick. Cameron Sweet scored two.

Bullis (Md.) def. Episcopal School Dallas (Texas), 12-6
Bullis led 4-3 at then half and used a five-goal third quarter to break open the game. Led by Robert Schain’s six points (four assists, two goals) and hat tricks by Connor Shellenberger and Isaac Aronson, the Saints moved on to the second round.

Hill Academy (Canada) def. St. Sebastian (Mass.), 16-8
Hill Academy jumped out to an 8-2 lead by halftime and added eight more in the second to defeat St. Sebastian.

Culver Academy (Ind.) def. Georgetown Prep (Md.), 10-5
The Eagles exploded for five goals in the first quarter, led by Austin Madronic’s five points on three goals and two assists. Alex Simmons added two goals and an assist. Goalie Michael Gianforcaro made 12 saves in the win.
