On The Web
Heading into a championship weekend, there are a number of stories to highlight.
The Scottsdale Independent writes about Notre Dame Prep (Ariz.) winning its second-straight Division I title and a potential dynasty.
In the past two years, NDP has dominated the lacrosse landscape. It has only lost once in that span — earlier this season to Salpointe — and has boasted a fiery offense (second-most goals scored in 2018) and a stingy defense (least goals allowed in 2018) throughout. Read the Full Story
The Last
Bullis (Md.) defeated Landon (Md.) to win the IAC championship last night. The game marked the final time Landon head coach Rob Bordley will walk the sideline. I wrote about Bordley yesterday and today this Inside Lacrosse piece caught my eye.
The First
Jupiter (Fla.) defeated St. Andrew’s (Fla.) 12–5 to advance to its first-ever state championship game. In the other half of the semifinals Bishop Moore (Fla.) defeated Ponte Vedra (Fla.) 8–6.
This is the first title game for both Jupiter and Bishop Moore, which will happen today at 8 p.m.
Jupiter is vying to become the first public school team to win an FHSAA championship.
