According to WFAA in Texas, St. Mark’s (Dallas, Texas) head coach Francis Donald has announced this will be his final season.
Donald has been the Lions’ head coach since 2014 when he took over for Hayward Lee. He compiled a 35-21 record thus far – the Lions have at minimum one playoff game to be played this season.
Donald stepped down to take a job in the admissions office at The Bishop School (La Jolla, Calif.).
The article comments that Lee is still teaching at St. Mark’s and is a community favorite to take over the team he led to the Division I state championship in 2013. Lee won 200 games as head coach of St. Mark’s and is the state’s all-time leader.
