Tuesday was a big day for Haverford School (Pa.). The Fords took over the No. 1 spot in the Nike/LM Top 25 and they posted their third win of the season over a MIAA program with a 14-9 win over Loyola-Blakefield. And with that victory, head coach John Nostrant earned his 400th career win. Plus, a California player ties the record for most goals in a single game this season and four players from New York tally 10 points in a game in today’s Best Lacrosse Performances for March 25, 2015.

Haverford School (Pa.) appears poised for another run at the national No. 1 ranking, but the Fords nation can celebrate one milestone now. With the 14-9 win over Loyola-Blakefield (Md.) on Tuesday, head coach John Nostrant reached career win No. 400. Nostrant started his coaching career in 1991 at St. Albans (D.C.) before taking over at Haverford School in 1992. He is *second all-time in Pennsylvania in career wins behind La Salle College head coach Bill Leahy who started the year with 417. *There are 32 coaches with at least 400 career victories, which now includes Nostrant.
Alex Dixon from Crespi (Calif.) set a school record with 11 goals in a 20-6 win over Chaminade Prep (Calif.) on March 21. The senior broke the previous record of 10 set by Jack Vonarb, according to MaxLaxOc.com. The 11 goals are tied for the most in a single game this season with Davis Crayner from Windermere Prep (Fla.).
Cam Mule dished out nine assists and totaled 11 points in helping Half Hollow Hills West (N.Y.) to a 15-7 win over Baldwin (N.Y.) on March 21.
Sal Cipriano totaled 10 points on six assists and four goals for Herricks (N.Y.) in a 16-2 win over Hempstead (N.Y.).
Michael Osmundsen had 10 points on eight goals and two assists for Hicksville (N.Y.) in a 14-10 win over Locust Valley (N.Y.).
Matt Varian tallied 10 points on the strength of eight goals and two assists to help Long Beach (N.Y.) to a 14-9 win over Hicksville on Saturday, March 21.
