Individual Performances
Centennial (Roswell, Ga.) senior Nathan Solomon opened the year with a 12 point performance. The Syracuse commit scored nine goals and added three assists in a victory over Fellowship Christian (Ga.). Solomon entered the year with 230 career goals and could become just the 11th player to score at least 300 in his career.
Freshman Nicky Solomon started his varsity career with fervor, totaling 15 points in his first game. Solomon had 11 assists and four goals in the win over Fellowship Christian.
Steven Grove recorded 22 saves to help King’s Academy (West Palm Beach, Fla.) to a 6-5 victory over Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) on Tuesday, Feb. 24.
Team Performances
Etowah (Ga.) opened its season with a 26 goal outburst. The Eagles defeated Sequoyah (Ga.) 26-0 on Feb. 21.
With the two performances above, Centennial tied for the lead for most goals scored in a single game this season with 26. They defeated Fellowship Christian (Ga.) by the score of 26-2.
Holy Trinity Episcopal (Melboure, Fla.) scored 25 goals in a 25-2 victory over Edgewood (Fla.) on Monday, Feb. 23. Episcopal jumped out to a 19-2 lead in the first half before coming off the gas and scoring just six in the second half. Joshua Moisand had six goals and three assists in the win.
Timber Creek (Orlando, Fla.) posted its second 25 goal game of the year in a 25-0 win over East River (Fla.). The Wolves also tallied 25 goals in a 25-1 win over Freedom on Feb. 13.
