As the 2015 season inches closer, LaxRecords.com is updating the site more often than ever before. Most of the updates happen in the background and get tweeted out, but never appear on the front page and might be missed by some of our readers.
To keep the LaxRecords.com community more up to date, I am going to publish a weekly list of all the updates I make to the site. I’ve also added an email subscription sign up that I’ll be sending out no more than once a week, so you can track all the updates in your inbox. Don’t worry, I won’t spam your email and promise not to send out tons of emails.
Individual Updates
Former Poway (Calif.) attackman Jacob O’Donnell was added to the California page. The current Drexel Dragon earned a spot for most points (242) and assists (125). (Pomerado News)
After doing some more research, I’ve updated Lyle Thompson’s career point total. The current Albany player recently earned Lacrosse Magazine’s Person of the Year award. Thompson is now credited with totaling 511 career points while at Salmon River (N.Y.) and Lafayette (N.Y.). The New York page has also been updated to reflect the updated total. I’m still searching for his correct goal and assist totals. If you have any information, email me at mloveday@laxrecords.com.
I’ve added Conrad Oberbeck to the Connecticut page. The current Yale senior tallied 165 career goals for Brunswick School (Brunswick, Conn.). The attackman owns the Brunswick School record for most goals in a season with 56.
Coaching Updates
New Jersey’s page got an addition to the all-time coaching wins category. Current St. John Vianney (Holmdel, N.J.) head coach Mike Dowd has amassed 202 career wins both at SJV and Manasquan (N.J.) from 1991 to present day. Dowd’s win total also earns him a spot on the national all-time coaching win list.
Other Updates
I have also updated the Potential 2015 Milestones story; adding Landon School (Bethesda, Md.) head coach Rob Bordley to the list of coaches that could reach a new century mark this season.
I also did some general cleaning up of the story and added some more information for the coaches that were already listed. If you haven’t given the story a look in a while, now is as good a time as any before the season gets underway.
If you have an update you’d like to see added to LaxRecords.com, please feel free to contact Mike Loveday.
