Williams (Burlington, N.C.) attackman Jack Ellington scored eight of his team’s 11 goals in an 11-9 victory over Western Alamance (Elon, N.C.) on Friday night. Williams improves to 5-2 overall.
University of Maryland commit, Colin MacIlvennie, scored seven goals and dished out two assists in a 22-5 Eastside Catholic (Sammamish, Wash.) win over Seattle Academy (Seattle, Wash.) on Thursday night. The win helped EC improve to 5-0 this season.
Most Goals in a Game
Gerrick Mundt and Zane Brown each netted four goals as Emerald Ridge-Puyllup (Puyallup, Wash.) routed South Kitsap (Port Orchard, Wash.) 26 – 0 in boys high school lacrosse action, Thursday at the Orting Soccer Field.
With little resistance, Emerald Ridge-Puyallup scored early and often with 11 first-quarter goals and 10 in the second for a 21 – 0 lead before cruising in the second half to its third win of the spring.
Lam O’Brien had a strong defensive performance for South Kitsap with five ground balls but his squad could never convert on offense.
Emerald Ridge-Puyallup (3-1-0) next faces Kennedy Catholic (1-2-0), Tuesday, April 1 in a 7 p.m. start at Sparks Stadium I Puyallup. South Kitsap (0-4-0) next faces Port Angeles-Sequim (0-2-0), Saturday, April 19 in a 1 p.m. start at Jullenix Ridge Elementary School in Port Orchard.
